Doug Emerson is a professional instructor, facilitator, and coach with over 32 years’ experience in the field of learning and development. He has a unique business and personal acumen that drives individuals to get in touch with their vision and personal success. He has designed curriculum, written computer training manuals, and managed the development of successful national training programs. Doug’s passions include leadership development training for executives and managers, communication skills, presentation skills, teambuilding, and coaching skills training.
Coaching Credentials and Business Experience: Doug has worked with all levels of employees – ranging from front-line, customer-facing workers to executives. He has taught all over the United States, in England, and in Hong Kong. One of his most famous pupils was the late Governor Ann Richards of the State of Texas. Doug is a successful people manager, project manager, and program manager. As part of the influential National Management Training Team at Xerox Corporation, he developed and implemented training for new Services managers. He was instrumental in developing Quality training for the Malcolm Baldrige Award winning Services division of Xerox Corporation. Doug achieved certification as a facilitator for Partnership Coaching, Inc. in February 2008.
Education, Training and Publications: Doug is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He has been trained and certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), as well as Kolbe Concept Natural Advantages™ methodology. The Communispond, Inc. Trainer Development Institute in New York certified him as a business writing and presentation skills instructor. In 1985, Doug received certification in curriculum analysis and design from Mager Associates. He is a graduate of the Crosby Quality College and attended Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts.
